Our Mission

The mission of Project 6:8 is to utilize the love of Christ to build community through personal connections, breaking of bread, sharing of goods and to be devoted in prayer and fellowship with those living on the streets of Minneapolis.

...and how do we utilize the love of Christ?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God - Micah 6:8

Our Values

Safe – a non-judgmental place where everyone has a name and a story

Loving – agape love doesn’t give others what they deserve, but what they need

Steadfast – to be firm in a direction or purpose: unwavering

Relational – we seek to know and be known

Our History

Project 6:8 started 2006 with a group of six people willing to take a step of faith to serve the poor in Minneapolis. Their first night they drove around in a van looking to pass out a hot meal to anyone who needed one and they ended up 'under the bridge'. They went back the next week, and the next, and every week since.
