Give goods
Donate new & used goods
Project 6:8 is a grassroots organization — we rely on individuals like you to provide used men’s clothing, blankets, tents and new toiletries for our friends on the street. You could donate to a thrift store and they’ll resell it for a profit; donations to Project 6:8 go directly to the homeless. Think of it as a tax write-off in heaven. (We’re also a 501(c)(3) non-profit.)
Please note: we do not accept women’s or children’s clothing.
We accept new & used camping supplies, including:
- Toiletries (travel size, new)
- Jeans / sweatpants
- Hoodies / sweatshirts
- T-shirts
- Socks, shoes and boots
- Underwear (new)
- Jackets
- Snow gear
- Tents, tarp
- Blankets and pillows

Feed the crowd
Sign up to cook or bring drinks
Every week we cook a hot, nutritious meal and serve it “under the bridge.” We show up every week regardless of weather, traffic, sporting events — or even a pandemic.
The best meal you’ll have tomorrow
Bag lunches
Bag lunches supplement our Tuesday night meals — they make sure everybody gets a meal, even with the biggest crowds. Each one is a simple PB&J, some chips, fruit, a treat and a bottle of water. They’re meant as a “to-go” meal, often eaten later.
Bible study for everyone
Gospel Bible study
Every week we bring our friends and volunteers to a Bible study at Miracle City Church. We study God’s word in a safe environment with other people who are experiencing homelessness.
Our friendship stands in stark contrast to the reality of homeless life. We are warm, friendly and inviting; stable, sober and mindful of spiritual things. We give our time freely, without any expectation in return.
Most Tuesdays 8–9pm · Miracle City, 1407 Nicollet, Minneapolis MN · Come as you are, all are welcome.
“The Spotless Lamb”
Truck driver
At the heart of our logistics is a 16-foot box truck we call “The Spotless Lamb.” We drive this 2018 Chevy on a 22-mile round trip to “Under the Bridge” each week. She always starts and drives great — we just need more people to help drive.
If you’re an excellent driver and don’t mind taking wide corners, this ride is for you. A Class D license is all that’s required.
Give financially
Fund the work
Our costs are minimal — some storage space for donations and a nice church for Bible study. There are no paid “volunteers” at Project 6:8, just a solid grassroots foundation. We do occasionally host an event, like a Christmas party or summer picnic. Your donations fund all of it — we can’t do it without you.
